Brand Comparison - Sizing Information

Our own BigTees Australia brand sizing is based on traditional Australian sizing and not American Sizing as many brands sold in Australia are now using. As a helpful guide, we've translated a few of the key "problem sizes" below:

  • ASColour/Gildan/Alstyle Size Large = BigTees Size Large
  • ASColour/Gildan/Alstyle Size XL = BigTees Size 2XL
  • ASColour/Gildan/Alstyle Size 2XL = BigTees Size 4XL
  • ASColour/Gildan/Alstyle Size 3XL = BigTees Size 6XL
  • ASColour/Gildan/Alstyle Size 4XL = BigTees Size 8XL
  • ASColour/Gildan/Alstyle Size 5XL = BigTees Size 10XL

Further Info: ASColour, Gildan and Alstyle brands were created for the American market and therefore their sizing is U.S. sizing - there are huge gaps between each size and a lot of people in between are either stuck with a t-shirt that is too big or have to go to a t-shirt that is too small.

BigTees Australia based it's sizing off traditional Australian men's sizing, where there is 5cm (around the chest) added to each size. So it goes Large (110cm), XL (115cm), 2XL (120cm) and so on.

We hope this guide helps to prevent our new customers purchasing the wrong size, if you're used to wearing U.S. size tees.

Once you know your BigTees size, you'll always get the right size when buying from our online store!
